We had a fabulous time in Los Angeles. We want to thank everyone involved for making it such a lucrative and special trip in so many ways from the beautiful wedding in Malibu, the visit with my son and his girlfriend in Venice, showings at 3 homes and all the wonderful people who came to see us and bought our jewelry and pottery, 2 offices  and all the wonderful people who came to see us and bought our jewelry and pottery, and out of the trunk of our car and the wonderful people who bought our pottery, visits with friends in Van Nuys. The whole 2 weeks was amazing - Thankyou everyone.

 We will be headed up to Taos, New Mexico this next weekend to well our works at a Memorial Day Holiday festival in Kit Carson Park. It is so pretty and cool up there - we really look forward to it every summer. Anyone in the area? Come by to see us.

 Yesterday my son Remi and I spent the day re-creating the outdoor pond located in front of the guest house and under a beautiful piece created by Fred using Clay Tiles (which he makes) and mounted and framed to hang on walls. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed this project - still a little more work to do to hide more of the plastic liner with rocks.

I sold the necklace I made the other day. We are really busy getting ready for all of the upcoming summer shows, so I am in big production season right now - here is another new one. This is really dramatic, looks heavy but is very comfortable to wear.

This piece is designed by Kristen using coral, turquoise and wire "cages" designed by Fred. Email me if you have questions.

I love this picture – My 9 year old Grandson Johnathon took it. It is a little part of my work table and I am getting ready to make many new pairs of earrings for our summer show season.

The fund raiser is organized by CAROLE DEVILLERS, a photojournalist based in NM since 2000 with several articles in National Geographic Magazine (two being on Haiti: Of Gods and Saints – Haiti voodoo pilgrimages, March 1985, and contributor to Haiti: Against all odds, Nov 1987). Carole has lived for nearly two decades in Haiti and was Reuters News Pictures photo correspondent in Port-au-Prince for ten years from 1990 to 2000. She recently returned from a “Mission to Haiti” after the earthquake and is working on a documentary about relief efforts. THE PROCEEDS will help buy tents for identified families in Haiti as well as tarpaulins, so needed for the upcoming rainy season. Raised funds will be shared between OREworld, a reputable Haitian grassroots organization that helps feed earthquake victims in Port-au-Prince and shelters 63 displaced people in Camp Perrin in the South where their main office is located, and PATCH-Haiti, founded by Carole Devillers in 1984 in Haiti to help programs for needy children (Photography in Aid To Children of Haiti).

Previous fund raisers post earthquake have raised some $4,000 from the sale of Carole’s photos, donated to OREworld and used to provide food to Port-au-Prince refugees.
Carole will be traveling back to Haiti on a humanitarian mission on April 27, 2010.

I just finished these, after I finished the necklace. I am getting ready for a whole season of summer shows, so heavy production now. I am really happy with the pieces that are coming out of my head. These are dramatic, long and very light weight.

I just finished this new necklace – it doesn’t even have a name. I feel like I want to name it specially for the person who buys it! It’s brand new price is $200.00. I used ancient Fossil Walrus Ivory pieces from Alaska, beautiful purple, apple green magnasite and amber beads, beautiful brass beads from Ghana and Nigeria. The necklace measures 27" in length and the pendant hangs 4 1/2". The closure is a loop with a beautiful dichroid glass button.

The show we had at our studio/gallery on the 27th and 28th of April was wonderful – great turnout, good sales, definite stimulous to the local economy! The attendance was great, the ambiance was so pleasant. We were definitely among friends.

You can see us at the Placitas Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair this weekend. The dates are November 20th & 21st. The hours are 10am until 5am both Saturday & Sunday. This show in the beautiful little New Mexico Village of Placitas is held in 3 locations. Our spot is in the Anasazi Winery. We have beautiful new pottery pieces and jewelry designs.
